Sharing Memories

Over the years I have always cherished every opportunity to view wolves in nature and obviously I prefer night viewing during Fall and Winter months. Nighttime is when they will be most active because they are basically nocturnal creatures as you can tell due to their beautiful singing at night.

This is why I observe them mostly during my night excursions when most sensible humans are asleep in the bunks back at the lodge. Also, they are very curious creatures making it fairly easy for me to locate them, they always knew I was near but weren’t to concerned about me. Contrary to folklore, I have never been bothered nor threatened by the wolves that I have encountered. They were as curious about me as I about them, they are nothing short of amazing.

This portrait hopefully will demonstrate the curiousity of Wolves, they are amazing creatures, rarely will they bother humans. In this scene they are admiring the Northern Lights and then they notice that they have a visitor nearby. They simply pause long enough to see that I am not a threat to them and then resume watching the show while keeping a cautious, watchful eye on me, we share our memory, peacefully, together. Enjoy and respect these great creatures.
