Beautiful scenes are not planned in nature they occur, as was evident late one evening while I was fishing on a quiet gently flowing river.
A family of moose appeared as if by magic, calmly moving into view out of the wilderness and then to my pleasant surprise, they started crossing the river in my direction and then turned and crossed just to the west of me, less then 100 yards away. It was a sight to be relished, a sight that is forever stored in the halls of my memory where I can reflect back upon that moment, and smile at the vision as it unfolds.
This is the scene as I remember it, for you to enjoy. It is a portrait of a family of moose out for a stroll across a shallow river on a most tranquil evening, with geese honking in the distant sky.
