This portrait was created in an attempt to illustrate and share the absolute serenity of nature. Over my lifetime I have spent countless hours enjoying paddling canoe and kayak down quiet rivers or along beautifully illuminated lakes, often simply meditating as I glide along on the glassy surfaces.
Some of my most memorable moments have been while traveling in my canoe enjoying a beautiful Labrador evening. Canoeing has always been a passion of mine that no amount of money can buy. It is truly a priceless pastime to help heal the soul and truly recharge your batteries.
My main purpose behind this portrait is to share at least a little of what I have experienced. I think that with this portrait I have accomplished my goal of sharing the serenity of nature.
