Aurora was the Roman goddess of the dawn, she was always the first to wake each morning and would ride her chariot across the night sky before her brother Sol the god of the sun awakened.
She would leave a purple mantle of stars in her wake and some legends have it that while riding, her chariot would spread flowers as she went. These flowers would be of multiple colours with the most common being a nice lime yellow greenish mixture creating a curtain of moving colours that were mystifying and fabulous to observe.
On this particular night as I sat on a boulder viewing Aurora as she was performing this the most amazing show possible. She would travel across the sky traveling up, down, forward and backwards, she would pirouette causing a spray of colour to spread across the sky in a most hypnotizing fashion.
It was at this time that Mother Nature got into the show also, by causing an amazing creature to cross directly in front of me and he hadn’t even noticed me sitting there until he paused momentarily directly in front of me. He wasn’t certain of what he was looking at and then he cautiously proceeded on his way as though I hadn’t existed but was an extension of the boulder.
How great it is when we all live peacefully together under Aurora’s spell.
