Hope, Joy and Rebirth
One of the greatest pleasures and pastimes in the little town of Wabush during the Spring, Summer and Fall, is hiking the trails that surround the town from the Jean Lake walking trails, up to the Wabush Look Out, Â and to the Elephant Head Park.
There is always lots of wildlife to enjoy, some are local, while we also have visitors that migrate into our area during the warmer seasons.
I have been fortunate to observe birds such as numerous species of duck, hawks, owls, and lots of songbirds such as robins, sparrows, finches, and different members of the crow family such as ravens, rooks, including jays of different lineage from Grey jays (whisky jacks) and yes we even have Blue Jays in the vicinity quite frequently. I absolutely appreciate the numerous calls that these birds create.
The Blue Jay will mimic birds of prey simply to keep other birds from infringing into its territory. These birds have a very relaxed form of flying or just floating from place to place with minimal wing flapping and sailing in a level style.
The Blue Jay has a unique story and is a part of many Native American legends. It symbolizes the essence of life and beauty.
Dreaming of bluebirds often represents happiness, joy, fulfillment, hope, prosperity, and good luck.
It is said that these birds are a symbol of hope, love, and renewal, I created this portrait to help spread some of this hope, happiness and joy to you and hopefully get everyone out there to enjoy Mother Nature at her best with these birds.
