What would I do if I found myself in a situation where there is a very annoyed Black bear in my vicinity, would I run, as a rule never run because you can’t outrun the fella.
Would I lay down and play dead, that’s not my nature I like to be in control of the outcome.
Would I climb a tree to get away from it, you can’t out climb the bear because he will pass you going up and be waiting at the top for you.
And what if you were able to get to the top before he saw you going up, I have thought about this and have decided to do a portrait of what the outcome would likely be. Keep in mind I am looking for a dramatic image so I have deliberately exaggerated certain assets of the bear (long teeth and even longer claws) just to cheer you up. Actually I am attempting to demonstrate how fear will make you see things a little differently, keep in mind it’s a portrait, so calm down!
The axe at the bottom of the tree isn’t going to help you much now, so you will have to suck it up and use your boots to upset him even more.
And Yell, Yell, Yell, maybe there is help nearby. Next time carry bear bangers or a rifle, always be prepared!
