Over the years we have often heard some of the old fellas sayings. These sayings were structured so that they would help us prepare for the coming weather. Sometimes there is stock in what they say, sometimes not.
This very thought has entered my mind on occasion to the point that maybe there is something to this.
When I decided to create this scene I thought it would be best to ensure that it cast a good message to the observer. One such message was: Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning, indicating bad weather. Red sky at night a sailor’s delight, indicating good weather.
“A Sailor’s Delight”, this was my first attempt at doing a long liner fishing boat scene, look closely and you will see a second long liner fishing on the horizon.
Being what is called a “Land Lubber” and having never been at sea fishing, I felt this would be a very challenging project.
I’m very pleased with the final outcome, a night scene, remember the sayings.
