Some of the most beautiful scenery is found on the ocean among the ice bergs. The colours in an iceberg vary from white and blues to violets. Sky colours vary quite drastically on the ocean so if you can capture the natural colours on the ocean you will have a portrait that will fascinate everyone.

Then you have the wildlife that is in the ocean with some of the most amazing colours on this earth. Now we come to the ships and little boats that are all over the ocean, you will find an array of colours that contrast and compliment the scene in front of you, always a spectacular sight.

This is the second ocean scene that I have attempted and this is a scene that is from a memory of when I traveled to the south coast of Newfoundland and Labrador visiting friends.

This ocean scene was created quite by accident, I started to do a serene mountain lake scene but when I completed the sky, clouds and water I felt that this should be an ocean fishing scene and then changed course to create the scene that was in my head. I’m glad I did.

Enjoy this glimpse into the life on the ocean for a fisherman, it can be a lot of hard work and also be quite adventurous. Look closely and you may even see a seal on the ice.
